Purpose The Fair Food Area: 1. supports the area's organic agriculture, promoting foods made with ingredients organically grown in the area; 2. offers a wide variety of wholesome foods at reasonable prices to fairgoers; 3. educates fairgoers about locally availability of organic foods; 4. promotes composting, energy efficiency, conservation of natural resources. Licenses 1. Vendors meet appropriate city standards regardless of for-profit or non-profit status. (City has waived fees for this event). 2. Vendors display licenses on their booths. Concessions and Set-up - Common sense and a spirit of cooperation best guide vendors in running their concessions. 1. Ingredients lists and prices of food items are prominently displayed on easily read, weatherproof signs. 2. Vendors serve food on biodegradable dinnerware (e.g. cups, plates, bowls, napkins, straws, stirrers, knives, forks, spoons, packaging.) (Event organizer will provide dinnerware.) 3. Vendors comply with federal, state and local health regulations. 4. Vendors comply with Department of Health regulations regarding water and electricity hookups, and washing up areas. 5. The fair encourages vendors to use gas, rather than electric, appliances when possible. Post-Fair 1. Vendors clean up their booth sites completely by 4:00 PM. |
